CARA's Mission

Since our official recognition as a nonprofit organization on May 1, 1994 in Sacramento, CARA's mission has been to provide health care services for individuals, their families, and the community including but not limited to the treatment of recovery from substance abuse/chemical dependency, using herbs, acupuncture, and other natural remedies, counseling, and health and nutrition education. We also provide professional training, supplies, and research to promote effective approaches to achieve freedom from addiction.
