Discover Old Sacramento

Visitors can experience the beginnings of California's State Capital and Gold Rush era at the Old Sacramento Historic District. Strolls down the wooden boardwalks and cobblestone streets allow visitors to browse the 125+ shops, restaurants, and museums. On weekends you can usually hear Cajun, blues, or folk music in one of the several saloons and popular eateries. Tour the four blocks in a horse-drawn carriage or take a ride on a riverboat. The Spirit of Sacramento Riverboat Cruises has regular cruises along the shoreline, with superb views of many major buildings. Bustling with activity, this place offers it all. On site are the California State Railroad Museum, living history programs, and year-round events.

Second Saturday Sacramento

...is the largest art event in the central valley. Galleries and businesses in the metro region stay open late and exhibit works from regional, national and international artists.

Midtown Sacramento

...presents a variety of restaurants, galleries, shops, bars and clubs to suit every lifestyle.

Other very popular tourist attractions include the Governor's Mansion, which was once home to Ronald Reagan, and the Leland Stanford Mansion, which dates back to 1856, when it was built by Leland Stanford, a US senator and governor of California.
